Alaska Botanical Garden Summer Camp
Come and learn all about gardening, soils, forest and stream critters, cooking, and art! Full-Day and Half-Day options available. All camps take place in our unique outside garden classroom and on 110 acres of boreal forest! Expert staff lead campers through fun, hands-on, science-based environmental education activities. Alaska Business Week is a fun, intensive entrepreneurship experience for high school students. ABW runs programs teaching the basics of business, leadership and entrepreneurship. Participants compete as teams in a dynamic business simulation with the guidance of adult mentors from the business community. After completing the program, students have a competitive edge on workplace readiness, college preparation, and overall life success. At ABW, students get personal experience working with real business leaders, company founders and CEOs. At the start of each camp, students form dedicated teams or ‘companies’ to compete in a gamified business simulation. The curriculum is designed to promote leadership, ethical decision-making, public speaking, collaborative teamwork, and profitable entrepreneurship for Alaska communities. 2021 programs will be virtual to ensure we can provide the opportunity to participate to all students.

Summer Climbing Camp for Kids
A climbing and activity camp for kids and young teens. A great introduction to indoor climbing for first timers, and an opportunity to advance skills and climb harder for repeat campers. Camp Si-La-Meo
Venture Outside! Gear up your camper for a week or more of outdoor adventures at our day camp located in Anchorage on the campus of Alaska Pacific University. We take full advantage of this natural setting, making every day another opportunity for campers to go marching through the forest, practice target sports or launch a canoe from the waterfront. In addition to a huge catalog of activities, games, field trips and our popular daily swim program, we structure each session to build excitement towards a grand finale.

Camp K
Get away! Alaska’s longest-running, co-ed overnight camp is nestled along the shores of Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing, a two-hour bus ride from Anchorage. Just a stone’s throw from main camp, and your own cabin is on a half-mile long beach with access to hiking trails, boating activities, large fields for outdoor games, an art building, as well as river rafting and horseback riding nearby. This 160-acre campus within the Chugach National Forest is “wild Alaska” with everyday opportunities to be off the grid, experience wildlife, and take in the epic beauty right outside your cabin door.

Summer Adventure
Discover fun! Our most flexible and accessible licensed program runs all day (7 am-6 pm) at three elementary schools – South Anchorage, Downtown and in Eagle River. Your child can join us for a day, a week (most popular) or the whole summer! Each day features a variety of hands-on activities including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, science, and community involvement. Field trips, theme weeks, surprise guests and more are all included. If you want your child to get outside, learn new skills, make new friends, play hard and have quiet time, then this is the camp for you.

Kachemak Camp
Four-day camp with two-day sessions (June 21 & June 22) at the Wynn Nature Center and two nights at the Peterson Bay Field Station (4 pm June 22 to 4:30 pm June 24). Explore the diverse habitats and wildlife of the forests and beaches around Kachemak Bay. Activities include animal tracking and game cams, forest hikes, tidepooling, outdoor fun, and adventure! PERFECT for a first-time camper or a learner who is craving more hands-on, outdoor exploration!

Cost: $450 (tiered pricing and scholarships available)

Teen EcoAdventure Camp
This 10-day outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship camp explores the changing environment and how this connects to a most basic and delicious part of our lives – food! Activities include backcountry and yurt camping, hiking along forests, beaches, alpine, and at the foot of a glacier, berry picking and preserving, learning about salmon fishing, tidepooling, understanding ethnobotany and local edible plant uses, and having fun in the kitchen making a range of homemade foods. Participants learn about how different changes to the forest, beach, and marine ecosystems affect the food we eat and how our food choices affect the environment and communities around us. Price includes all boat transportation around Kachemak Bay, food and lodging.

Cost: $999 per person (scholarships available)

Family Camp
Fun and adventure for the family. CACS Family Nature Camps are a great opportunity for families to be together and get outside in an amazing Kachemak Bay setting. Activities include tidepooling, hiking, campfire songs, wildlife watching plus games and hands-on activities for all ages. Families sleep in yurts. Costs include transportation, meals, and the program itself. Kayaking is available for an additional cost. Price includes ALL transportation, meals, supplies, lodging and program costs for the entire weekend! Kayaking is optional and an additional $115 per person.

Marine Mammal Camp
This camp is for kids who are curious about the ins and outs of marine mammals. Campers will spend 4 nights and 5 days at the Peterson Bay Field Station learning about marine mammals, being wildlife detectives and articulating (or putting together) a mystery skeleton! Includes a wildlife boat tour on Kachemak Bay to view marine mammals.

Camp Peggy Lake
YMCA Camp Peggy Lake is surrounded by 320 acres of rustic wilderness located about 100 miles north of Anchorage on the Parks Highway.
