From robotics and space exploration to costumes, comics and more, the Anchorage Museum has a camp topic to suit nearly every 7 to 12–year-old’s interest. Designed to foster imagination and experimentation in art, science and technology, campers learn, play and create through exploring museum objects and resources under the guidance of trained educators.

Rock Star Band Camp

Kincaid Adventure Camp
Spend the summer discovering the joys of Kincaid Park. Campers will learn about animal tracking, hiking, kite and rocket building, map making, orienteering, outdoor cooking, canoeing, beach combing and more. Half-day kids camps, with add-on Open Gym options available to extend the day, run all summer for kids 3 years and older. PreK camps have different educational, fun, sports-oriented themes each week: Mornings three days a week or afternoons five days a week. School-age camps rotate Parkour Gymnastics, Circus Arts and Acrobatics, Gymnastics Skills and Alaska Ninja Warrior: Afternoons five days a week. The Fairbanks Children's Museum hosts three months of fun-filled summer camps each with a different theme. Themes include science, storytelling, building, and art. Camps consist of guided activities, free play in the museum all day, and lunch outside (weather permitting).

These camps allow children to tinker, become a scientist, join a fairytale, and so much more! Activities are hands-on allowing for optimal fun. The first half of the summer is for 4-7 years olds; the second half is for 6-9 year olds.

Camp Sholom
Since 1983, the JEC has been providing excellence in education for all children.
Our Camp offers exciting and enriching programming for school age children during all ASD breaks including in-service and early release days, including a Junior Counselor program for older kids. Summer camp for kids entering grades 1-6 features themed weeks, swimming, and field trips. Our toddler and baby programs provide full time care for children ages 3 months to 3 years. The UAF Summer Music Academy, a joint event sponsored by the UAF College of Liberal Arts Department of Music and the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, is an intensive two week program of musical education for students who have finished grades 6 through 12. Exceptions may be made for exceptional students who are entering the 6th grade and will be considered on a case by case basis. Written recommendation from a public school music teacher or private teacher is required for students seeking an exception. All students of the appropriate age and musical experience are welcomed at the UAF Summer Music Academy regardless of race, religion, gender, or culture. We recognize that each student has a unique style and pace of learning, and seek to provide opportunities for students to learn in their own style and at their own pace while fitting into the larger musical community.
